Objectives:At the conclusion of this session, each participant should be able to a) use an algorithm that will help in the diagnosis and treatment planning of the edentulous patient, b) describe the critical differences between implant assisted and supported designs, c) design overdentures in a way to maintain retentive values of attachment mechanisms, d) predictably manage the edentulous patient with simple design mechanics, e) describe the vertical space requirements needed for different prostheses.
