Dr. Katie Hanser is a graduate of the SIU School of Dental Medicine, where she later completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program, followed by two years in SIU’s Implant Fellowship, earning certificates in both programs.
Currently, Dr. Hanser serves as a full-time faculty member at SIU’s Department of Graduate Education, where she is also the program director for the AEGD program and faculty for the Implant Fellowship. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Hanser sees patients in a private practice in Glen Carbon, IL, specializing in restorative implant dentistry.
Dr. Hanser’s expertise extends beyond clinical practice; her research interests include implantology, prosthodontics, and digital workflows. She has presented several posters at the Academy of Osseointegration’s annual meeting. Dr. Hanser is also the founder and director of the Southern Illinois ITI Study Club, based in Edwardsville, IL
